Wah Sing Seafood Restaurant
I have only been to Wah Sing Seafood restaurant a couple of times and the last time I came here was over five years ago. This Chinese restaurant isn’t a fancy place but their lobster doesn’t disappoint and their lobster and other dishes are reasonably priced. Make sure to try their double lobster special and you can try two of their speciality flavoured dishes (2 for 1 lobster is only $37.95).
We decided to treat ourselves to a seafood only dishes at the restaurant tonight for dinner. The first lobster we tried was the Lobster with Green Onion and Ginger. The other was the Lobster with Leeks and Maggi Sauce. Both lobsters were fresh and deep fried. If you’ve never had Chinese-style fried lobster this place has 10 different options on their menu to choose from and they were both savoury and flavorful.
Sticking to seafood options we also tried one of their chef recommendations from the menu, Birds Nest with Mixed Seafood. This was visually appealing and included shrimp, squid/calamari, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots and scallops. The sauce was light and the crispy nest was made with potato/tarot.
This place is known for their seafood and specifically their lobster. They have been open for years and like many Chinese restaurants they are open late every day of the week (until 11pm). So, if you’re craving lobster and are near Baldwin St. in Toronto check out this little restaurant. On my next visit, I may try their Dry Garlic Lobster.
