Haru Sushi Japanese Restaurant
Haru Sushi is a small Japanese restaurant tucked in a small plaza in Richmond Hill. They have a variety of different sushi rolls to try. If you like your rolls filled to the brim then you will enjoy the special rolls at Haru. It’s a great place to try and share some dishes amongst friends or family.
The most unique roll we tried was the Cultus Roll which was wrapped in rice paper and included shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, crabmeat, mango, spring greens, avocado and cucumber. It was almost like a smaller version of a Vietnamese summer roll but more flavourful with all the ingredients and the shrimp and spicy tuna.
The sweetness of the mango on top of the Dancing Roll was a nice compliment to the spicy salmon and shrimp tempura.
If you want a refreshing summer sushi roll to try you should order the South Beach Roll which is wrapped with a thin slice of cucumber. Inside the roll is salmon, shrimp, crabstick, flying fish eggs with a light vinaigrette.
The Rich Roll has a little spicy kick to it and it has shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, fish egg, Japanese crabstick topped with spicy salmon and tempura crunch.
And you can never go wrong sharing a Rainbow Roll (dynamite roll topped with tuna, white fish, fresh salmon, shrimp, avocado) or Sushi Pizza topped with Salmon.
This Japanese restaurant will have a lot of dishes for you to try and they also have a lot of cooked dishes on their menu that I will need to try on my next visit.
