I love West Indian food and this little French Caribbean restaurant in Kensignton Market serves some great little dishes.
One of my favourite things is salt fish fritters (salted cod fritters) and they make a nice appetizer with lightly deep fried soaked Codfish, Shrimp or Veggies, mixed with flour, water, parsley, garlic, and a blend of herbs and spices. I’ll be adding a recipe for my homemade version of fritters in a later post.
Another little treat we tried was their cassava fries (aka yuca). Cassava is from the root of a plant and makes a good fry or chip that is rich in starch like taro and potato.
The restaurant is small and doesn’t have much seating inside but, on a nice summer or fall day in Kensington Market it’s a good place to get takeout and eat outside.
