Mill St. Brew Pub a Mixed Bag for Appetizers
Mill St. Brew Pub is in the Distillery District of Toronto and we tried a few appetizers at the pub after catching a show.
This restaurant looks like a typical pub inside and I was a bit disappointed by the Short Rib Poutine. It was drenched with gravy and super salty. Sounds good on the menu but I do not recommend trying it or if you do tell them to hold back on the gravy and salt.
The Calamari turned out tasting better with the highlight being the dipping sauces (Lager Aoili and Chipotle Marinara dipping sauce). The Pulled Pork Carnitas were also pretty good.
Unfortunately, their shrimp lettuce wraps with taro chips were also a disappointment as they were very small and not that flavourful or filling. Well 2 appetizers out of 4 is not bad I guess???
This rating is based on the appetizers we tried and I’m sure their main entrees are more above par.
