Smitty’s Oyster House
The views from Smitty’s Oyster House are amazing as it is located along the wharf and has a great view of the boats and pier. The service at Smitty’s was nothing to boast about and the clam chowder was a disappointment. The oyster was fresh however and the fish fritters and fries were pretty good.
I’m not sure I’d go back here again except for the view and patio which is shared/communal style. The restaurant isn’t very big but you expect it to have great seafood because it is so close to the ocean.
The clam chowder had good flavour but the potatoes were a bit under cooked as well as the chunks of onion. The clam portion was decent but the chowder was a bit watery and I like my chowder thicker.
The fish fritters were good. Batter was crisp and the fries tasted home made.
Fresh seafood by the water on a beautiful day is a great way to spend a summer day.
