Forty Ninth Parallel Cafe and Lucky’s Doughnuts
If you like donuts and coffee you need to check out and try Lucky’s Doughnuts at Forty Ninth Parallel. I tried the Creme Brûlée and Old Fashioned doughnut. It tasted so good with the custard in the center of the donut and the outside of the donut is slightly crunchy and caramelized (just like the Creme Brûlée dessert).
They have quite a variety of donut flavours at the cafe and a nice selection of coffees too. The usual affair of lattes, cappuccino, Americano, espresso and more. I liked the beachy and almost retro simple design of the cafe too. It was busy when my friend and I went to for a visit. So full in fact there wasn’t any seating space.
So, we went to Jericho Beach to enjoy the goods. What’s better than having your cup of joe and a donut by the water?
Forty Ninth Parallel isn’t a big cafe but the vibe is good and I would say a little hipster. I would go there again to see what was on their breakfast menu and try another donut of course. I think Toronto needs to get Lucky’s donuts so, I can try the other flavours!
