This Japanese restaurant has a quiet and quaint atmosphere. Yoko Japanese Restaurant has good servings of sushi rolls and their dishes come in generous portions. Dragon rolls and California rolls are tasty and share worthy.
The bento box options for dinner are limited but, the quantity of food is more than enough for one. I substituted the spring rolls for gyoza dumplings and was glad I did. The tempura and sushi included in the bento box were average and not as good as their specialty rolls. The chicken teriyaki was good and their tonkatsu dishes are very generous in serving and it’s nice and crispy.
This restaurant also serves Korean dishes like Bulgogi, Kalbi and Bibimbap. They are also pretty good but, I think their Japanese dishes are better. They do serve a large serving of Kalbi however, and that’s a another favourite to get if I’m craving Korean food at this restaurant.
They were even nice enough to provide a sushi pizza with a candle for my niece’s birthday. I thought this was a unique touch considering they didn’t have a cake dessert option.
The sushi pizza was very good with a thin crispy rice as the base and spicy sweet sauce with salmon on top. The servers are very polite and the service is usually very good here.
